Lesson volunteers either lead the horse or walk beside the horse to assist a rider for up to one hour per lesson in all kinds of weather. Do you have any physical limitations that would make this difficult for you?

How did you hear about Shea Center?
I understand that there are multiple steps to the volunteer application process, as outlined below.

Step 1: Completion of the on-line information form.

Step 2: The Shea Center processes the information form and contacts you within 2 business days.

Step 3: You receive an invitation to attend a 1 hour volunteer orientation at the Center; once scheduled you will receive a confirmation email of the orientation date and a volunteer packet to be completed & signed.

Step 4: You attend orientation and receive an application packet and volunteer manual.

Step 5: The Shea Center will contact you to schedule volunteer training within 3-5 business days.

Step 6: Upon successful completion of required training, you are an official Shea Center Volunteer.

Step 7: The Volunteer Manager will contact you via email to schedule your volunteer day(s) and time(s).

Note: The Shea Center's normal operating hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm. Changes to this schedule do occur and will be communicated; primarily through this website.
