We recently hosted The Shea Center’s 2026 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Celebration in The Elena Cappadona and Steve Stambaugh Volunteer Oasis, bringing together the dedicated board members and volunteers who make our mission possible.
The Annual Meeting serves as an important opportunity to reflect on organizational milestones and accomplishments. Board Chair Greg Talbott opened the evening with a warm welcome, sharing highlights from the past year.
A standout moment of the evening was recognizing the extraordinary impact of our volunteers. In 2025, more than 800 individuals generously contributed their time, talents, treasure, and ties—totaling over 30,000 volunteer hours.
Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by Jalapenos Restaurant, followed by churros for dessert, before a series of well-deserved awards were presented, including Horse of the Year. It was a meaningful evening of gratitude, recognition, and celebration for all who help make The Shea Center such a special place.
