Additional Programs

Military Programs

The Shea Center provides customized services for veterans and active-duty members of the Armed Forces. These services include family reunification, Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy, couples groups, adaptive riding, Equine Assisted Learning, drill teams, and support groups. The individuals we serve are veterans with disabilities including post–traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and other mental health disorders. The unique partnership with the horse, combined with a dynamic, outdoor environment, expert staff, and dedicated volunteers offers an environment of learning, achievement, healing, and fun to our military community. Please call to inquire or download our brochure for more information.

Senior Program

We offer opportunities for adults 55 and older to explore and learn about our facility. Senior programs are available by appointment on Wednesdays or Fridays for participants in senior service organizations and residents of senior living facilities.

  • Tours–Guests can take a free guided tour, learn about our services, meet our horses, and see our barn operations.
  • Field Trips–Participants engage with horses through grooming and feeding activities, tour the facility, and observe our services in action.
  • Guests are welcome to bring lunch to enjoy on our patio.
