Come One, Come All, to The Shea Center’s Annual BBQ and Family Faire!

We are inviting you to attend the 43rd annual BBQ at The Shea Center on Saturday, September 19. This is the Center’s largest fundraising event of the year, bringing in over 1600 community members, Shea Center riders and their families, staff, and volunteers.

So, put on your boots and your favorite hat, and join us for an evening of country music and good old-fashioned western fun. Whether you grab a drink at the saloon, visit the country fair to play some games, or feast on BBQ from our catering sponsor, Montage Laguna Beach, there is no doubt you will have a fabulous time at Orange County’s country western family event of the year.

Aside from all the fun, throughout the evening there will be countless ways for you to learn more about what happens at The Shea Center, and hear from individuals who have been directly impacted by our services. You will see riding demonstrations of the skills used with our clients; you’ll experience the “Parade of Stars”, which honors and celebrates all of our clients; and you’ll even get to tour the barn and meet a horse or two!

Before and during the event, there are multiple ways for you to donate. Whether you want to sponsor a Shea Center therapy horse to help with its care for a year, bid on one of our 300+ silent and live auction items, contribute to the Fosheim Rider support fund, or become an event sponsor, we invite you to support us so we may continue to help improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities every day!
