Shea Center Intern: Ainsley Berringer

Shea Center intern, Ainsley Berringer, is an occupational therapy student from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the same university and is currently working toward her Master of Occupational Therapy degree.

Ainsley has been riding horses since the age of eight and has been a member of local 4-H clubs and trained and shown Western Pleasure horses.

Ainsley is certified as a PATH Intl. Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI), Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL), and Official Mentor. She has experience with individuals with disabilities in therapeutic riding, group home, and personal settings.

In 2017, Ainsley founded Hilltop Horizons, a therapeutic equestrian center in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She provides therapeutic riding and equine assisted learning lessons to children and adults with a variety of special needs.

Ainsley is thankful for the opportunity to learn from The Shea Center and is eager to take back all the knowledge she gains to the East Coast!
