Our turn-out team is a new volunteering position our Volunteer Services Manager, Christina Lee, has arranged, to be sure our herd receives their well-deserved “time off” from their busy work schedules. These volunteers have excellent horsemanship skills and feel confident handling each of the 25 therapy horses in our barn.

The main responsibility of the turn-out team is to make sure our horses are being rotated out of their normal therapy jobs, and put into a turn-out or in the Euro-walker for some relaxation time.
This time is crucial to the well-being of our herd. It allows the horses time just to be a horse, relax, roll around, and socialize with other horses.

The turn-out team has increased barn productivity on all levels, from freeing up our staff barn crew, to helping our instructors and equine team get the horses back to their stalls in an efficient manner. We have worked the turn-out schedule into our lesson planning and client activities to optimize horse health.
Currently, we are completely staffed for these positions. However, if this role may interest you in the future, please reach out to Volunteer Services Manager, Christina Lee, for more information.
