Our very own staff members, and sisters , Christina and Kelli recently won 1st and 2nd place in a Western Dressage competition on our Shea horses, Remi and Huckleberry!

The show was virtual, so Christina and Kelli recorded their tests here at The Shea Center and submitted them to the California Western Dressage Association to be judged. Not only is this a fun experience for our staff, but it’s also a wonderful chance to provide enrichment to our horses and gain more knowledge.

Fun Fact ~ Christina, our Equine Operations Manager and Kelli, an instructor for our Military and Mental Health Programs and a part of our equine support team, grew up riding horses and even competed in Western Pleasure competitions many years ago. Check out the below throwback photo of them!
