Have you ever wondered what is going on behind those big beautiful eyes? Here are 4 facts that make horses’ vision so special.
1. Horses can see color!
They have two-color, or dichromatic vision and they can see blue and green colors on the spectrum.
2. They have amazing night vision
Horses have superior night vision, which is helpful in the detection of predators.

3. Horses have a 350-degree range of vision
Because horses have eyes on either side of their head, they can see two objects at once. This also helps with detection of predators because they have a larger field of vision.
4. They have two blind spots
One is right behind them, like most mammals, while the other is located right in front of them. This means they can’t see the carrot you are holding to their mouth- they have to use the whiskers around their mouth to feel objects.
