Event Honorees: Bonnie & David Eastman
Meet the extraordinary team
Bonnie and David Eastman are longtime supporters and volunteers at The Shea Center. Bonnie started as a lesson volunteer 20 years ago and remains a weekly lesson volunteer. Bonnie’s joy at volunteering inspired David to become a Shea lesson volunteer for a number of years.
As we got to know Bonnie as a person and began to see her talents unveiled, we knew we needed her support with Shea fundraising events. Bonnie started on the Drive to Ride committee, became our BBQ Chair (10 years and counting!), joined our board of directors and gala committee, and most recently came full circle to co-chair our Drive to Ride committee. David supports The Shea Center’s mission through hours spent on countless projects to enhance our events, providing our staff with business advice, and being a regular sponsor with Bonnie at all our events.
Bonnie and David embody the ideal of “time, treasure, talent” on every level. They lead by example and with their hearts. They are dedicated to their passions, are willing to help wherever needed, and are always up for a celebration. Adored by all who know them, Bonnie and David are very much beloved members of The Shea Center family. What would an event be without those two closing down the dance floor?
It is a privilege to celebrate their dedication and service to The Shea Center.

The Debut of a New Client Video
During the evening program in the ballroom
Every year at our annual gala we have the privilege to highlight a client and their journey at The Shea Center. This year we are excited to share Kabir’s story. His story will debut at the 2023 Gala and will be shared digitally after the event. Stay tuned!

Fosheim Rider Support Fund
Help ensure the bright futures for our clients
Our goal during our special events is to raise awareness and funding for our client programs. Click here to make a donation to the Fosheim Rider Support Fund.
- The Fosheim Rider Support Fund (est. 2007) aids in providing funds for client financial aid, horse care, and priority programs such as our military programs.
- The fund is named for Penny and Jon Fosheim and their 30+ year commitment to our mission.
- As the need increases for our programs, so does the investment to support them.
- Your tax-deductible donation directly transforms the lives of the 1,500 participants we serve.
No matter the size, every single gift is important and helps us improve the lives of people with disabilities through therapeutic horse-related programs.
