Meet Staff Member: Kelli Navarro

Jun 22, 2026 | More Info, Uncategorized

If you’ve attended an event at The Shea Center, chances are Kelli Navarro had a hand in making it happen. As Event Logistics Manager and Equine Assisted Learning Program Administrator, she helps create meaningful experiences for clients, families, volunteers, donors, and the community while supporting programs that change lives.

Kelli’s journey with The Shea Center began in 2020 when her horse, Easy, joined our herd after being evacuated during a wildfire. Inspired by the magic she witnessed here, Kelli started as a volunteer, then became an independent contractor before joining the team full-time. For the past 5½ years, she has combined her background in education, event planning, and a passion for helping others in a role that impacts nearly every corner of the organization.

When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Kelli says it’s seeing the impact firsthand. Whether it’s a participant reaching a goal they never thought possible or a donor realizing the difference their support makes, those moments are what make her work so rewarding.

Originally from Mission Viejo, Kelli describes The Shea Center as “a blessing to so many people.” We’re grateful for her dedication, positivity, and commitment to helping others thrive. And if you’re wondering, her favorite Shea horse, it’s Easy—the horse who started it all.
