The horses at The Shea Center are vital in helping clients achieve their goals. Expenses are required to help keep the herd in excellent condition. To this end, we rely on generous donors to support our horse sponsorship program. The funds are used to acquire feed, shavings, farrier services, tack, veterinary care, and for stall management.

The following horses need sponsorship:
Annie needs a partial or half sponsorship. She is a liver chestnut quarter horse mare. Since she arrived in 2019, she has been an excellent horse for adaptive riding clients due to her sweet and willing personality. Additionally, she is very patient and loves to be groomed in summer camp.
Boog needs partial or half sponsorship. He may have a short stature, but Boog has a big personality. His broad base of support allows clients to vault, work on core balance, and feel secure on his back.
Easy needs a partial or half sponsorship. Just like her name, Easy is easygoing. Her temperament is sweet as can be. Her favorite place is on the trail, where her clients enjoy the scenic views.
Ginger needs a partial or half sponsorship. She is sweet and interactive with staff and clients. Her multidimensional gaits are smooth with a steady rhythm, which makes her a great horse for our smaller hippotherapy clients who may be new to vaulting or adaptive riding clients who are first learning to trot.
Jericho needs a partial or half sponsorship. His unique Quarter Horse and Friesian crossbreed makes him a steady addition to the military and adaptive riding programs. Jericho has the personality of a Labrador Retriever who loves to socialize and receive lots of attention and petting.
JJ needs a partial or half sponsorship. He has a very friendly and social personality, and his compact and strong build make him perfect for carrying a wide range of clients.
Mac ‘N’ Cheese needs a partial sponsorship. Mac ‘N’ Cheese is the smallest horse in the barn. He is a Miniature Horse who is great for clients to groom and lead. A fun fact about Mac is that he worked as a show pony before joining The Shea Center herd in 2019.
Murray needs a partial or half sponsorship. Murray is a curious and intelligent pony whose quick cadence and multi-dimensional movement activate our clients’ postural muscles and provide quality sensory input.
Romeo needs a half or partial sponsorship. He is a buckskin Quarter Horse gelding who has been a ranch and rodeo horse and loves to have his back scratched.
Tucker needs a full, half, or partial sponsorship. Tucker is a chestnut Quarter Horse gelding who is the most talkative horse in the barn and loves attention from people and other horses.
If you are interested in helping our programs grow, sponsoring a horse is a great way to contribute! We encourage families, companies, and foundations to consider supporting a Shea horse with sponsorships ranging from $3,750 to $15,000.
