Amoré is a beautiful four-year-old Gypsy/Quarter Horse cross, who followed her fellow barn mates, Bear and Strawberry from a farm in upstate New York. Honest and willing, Amoré happily takes on whatever is asked of her. Wise beyond her years and unflappable, this gentle mare is a perfect fit for The Shea Center.
Why we love her: Amoré has a sweet, lovebug personality and a calming presence that draws people in. She connects easily with her humans, enjoys attention, and is well-mannered in every interaction. With her beautiful looks and bright mind, she is already a standout in the barn.

What makes her a great therapy horse: Amoré is already thriving as a Shea Center therapy horse. Her exceptionally calm, gentle demeanor along with her sure-footed steps and smooth gates provide a steady ride that builds instant confidence. We can already tell that Amoré will take good care of her riders and her wonderful versatility will benefit clients across all programs at the Shea Center. It is as if she was born to be a therapy horse.

Years of Service: Amoré arrived at The Shea Center in May 2026, and we cannot wait to see all the lives she will touch.
Previous Career(s): Amoré came to The Shea Center with experience as a lesson and trail horse in both English and Western disciplines. She also has cross-country and obstacle training.
