Learn about Romeo, a great therapy horse excelling in our adaptive riding and military programs.

Why we love him:

Romeo is a tall and strong Quarter Horse gelding with a heart of gold. His solid build and gentle nature make him a valuable member of the herd, especially for adult riders. He loves to go out on the trail exploring nature but also enjoys rides in the arenas. His diverse training as a ranch and rodeo horse allows him to feel comfortable in various settings.

What makes him an excellent therapy horse:

Romeo is part of several programs at The Shea Center, including adaptive riding and military programs. He thrives in environments that include constant movement, as he is the type of horse that enjoys working.

Years of Service: Romeo arrived at The Shea Center in July 2024.

Previous Career(s): Romeo was a rodeo and ranch horse before arriving at The Shea Center.

Fun Fact: Romeo is very social and interactive with both people and horses. He is always eager to meet others and form connections.
