Why we love him:
Tucker is a gentle, laid-back Quarter Horse gelding. His personality and smooth gait are great for various riders in all programs. Recently, he has been excelling in the family military program sessions, where he brings comfort and joy to his riders.

What makes him a great therapy horse:
Tucker is good at mirroring human emotions, intuitively recognizing when someone feels calm, happy, anxious, sad, or stressed. He can tune into emotional cues, which allows him to respond with his gentle nature. Additionally, he comes from a therapy-horse background, allowing him to excel at his job soon after arriving at Shea.

Years of Service: Tucker arrived at The Shea Center in August of 2024.

Previous Career(s): Tucker was a lesson program horse at another therapeutic riding center before coming to The Shea Center.
Fun Fact:
Tucker is always up for a challenge and thrives when navigating new territory. He enjoys going through the newly built challenge course and tackling new obstacles.
