Why we love her: Whether she’s leading a horse in summer camp or sidewalking, Jacklynn is willing to go the extra mile, learning new skills and helping out (prepping summer camp crafts, for example!). She has a passion for helping others and our herd, and both our clients and horses are fans of her calm presence and contagious smile.
Road to The Shea Center: Jacklynn first heard about the Center from her grandmother. “She remembered driving by The Shea Center, but later forgot the name. One time we were driving around, and I searched therapeutic riding and The Shea Center came up! We drove over and as soon has we got on the property I fell in love. My grandma and I are in love with horses. The feeling I get when I’m around them is incredible: They make my days so much better!”

Years of service: Jacklynn joined The Shea Center in April 2021
Favorite Shea Center memories: “My favorite memories are being with the wonderful kids at the Center and being around the horses. I also enjoy being with the incredible staff.”
When not volunteering, she can be found… Hanging out with her friend at the beach. “I also love going shopping, and doing my hair and nails.”
She finds her bliss doing this: “Volunteering at The Shea Center, and being with horses.”
Future plans for this game changer: “I want to be a cosmetologist and continue to work with animals.”
